Accurate Biomed Services Inc. announces new warranty program!
One of the questions we have been asked over the past several months was concerning whether we could shape a program that would make your service and repair costs more predictable. We understand, through our involvement in the federal legislation that has been floating around Congress for the past several months that you will be faced with either a CPI freeze for an extended period of time or (heaven forbid) National Competitive Bidding (NCB).As Accurate Biomed Services Inc. is the market leader for the home medical equipment service and repair industry and as we introduced years ago the six month “No Excuses” warranty program that you have come to rely upon, we felt we had to take the lead on this very important aspect of your business and attempt to assist in insuring your financial well being during this time of cost cutting by the federal government. Our staff has spent a lot of time considering what we could do for the industry to contain costs and yet be able to provide the superior service to which you have become accustomed. Towards that end, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. is pleased and proud to announce the longest repair warranty in the industry. Starting September 1st Accurate Biomed Services Inc. will warranty all repairs performed on oxygen concentrators, regardless of make or model, for a period of one year. Additionally, our customers will be able to purchase a one year extension of that same warranty for $100.00. That means that for the cost of the initial repair you have the next year under warranty, should you desire to lock in any repair costs for the second year you would invest an additional one hundred dollars resulting in fixing your total repair costs for two years for the price of the initial repair. As always our warranty is “No Excuses” meaning that any failure of any component will be replaced and/or repaired at no additional charge. This program is specifically aimed at our customers that want to be assured of the highest quality repairs and the lowest yearly cost of operation available.

Also, during the annual convention this year, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. provided something a little different to our members. As we are a service and repair facility, our business, naturally, is providing the expertise necessary in the repair of your respiratory and biomedical equipment. However, many of you have a repair facility “in house” and we felt we needed to assist those companies in training their staff to handle some of the problems that oxygen concentrators exhibit. To achieve this end Accurate produced a basic concentrator trouble shooting course to show some of your technical staff the problems we run across when servicing your equipment. Our O2 systems manager, Wally Strange, had a very enthusiastic bunch come to this track. During the three hour course the attendants were able to not only see some of the problems that can occur, but also had "hands on" experience with different manufacturers of oxygen concentrator equipment. Afterwards the attendees were given a test and a certificate was awarded to those who passed the examination (everyone passed this time). Due to the success of this premier, our company will be developing more of these courses in the future. We are working with the associate member committee to make arrangements to provide this track on a regional basis. Here again, Accurate is working for you to make a better industry for all of us.
Accurate Biomed Services Inc. acquires the assets of Central Medical Repair Inc.
In March of this year Accurate Biomed Services Inc. purchased the assets of Central Medical Repair of Olathe, Kansas. Central Medical Repair has been an excellent repair source for oxygen concentrator compressors and sieve bed repair as well as a low cost source of repair parts. We felt that this purchase fit into our product mix nicely. Additionally, this acquisition will further enhance our ability to serve our customers as we will be offering repair parts to the companies that have an in house repair facility at extremely attractive pricing levels. Coupled with the fact that we already pick up and deliver your equipment in the Midwest region we will be able to deliver your parts orders and further save you the time, hassle and expense of shipping and receiving. We are in the process of consolidating this purchase, and publishing a catalog. Accurate Biomed will be keeping you abreast of developments as they happen.
WARRANTY NEWS
Accurate Biomed Services Inc. enhances its warranty repair contracts.
Effective April 21st, 2003, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. will be a full line factory authorized warranty repair center (FASC) for Respironics. What this means is, although we have been an FASC for the oxygen concentrator line of equipment Respironics manufacturers, we have passed their accreditation procedure and are now authorized to provide warranty service to their sleep product lines. Added to the free pick up and delivery service that we already provide to our customers, this is an exiciting addition to our service menu. We are extremely proud that Respironics has made us a full line FASC and we are able to offer this service in the Midwest as there are less than a dozen repair companies in the
With the addition of this contract we now are a warranty repair center for Respironics, Invacare, Sunrise Medical, and Nidek. We are working with other manufacturers to broaden our warranty repair services and will keep you posted on the progress of this program.
