This year at the MAMES annual convention Accurate Biomed Services Inc. once again stepped up to support our organization. For those of you familiar with our company, you have seen our historic dedication to MAMES (we have been a VIP sponsor and have also sponsored speakers in the past) and we were proud to be able to be an even more significant contributor not only to MAMES but also to our industry that provides competence and expertise in the home health care industry. We made a conscious decision this year to contribute to MAMES at the highest level and to make the additional commitment to display at all the MAMES conventions throughout the year. Additionally, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. became an associate member of the American Association for Homecare and an associate member of our home state organization, the Missouri Alliance for Home Care. During the MAMES morning meeting and again, briefly, at the President’s Dinner that evening, I had the pleasure to address the membership concerning our company. Our dedication to this industry and the patients it serves, I believe, is an integral part of our success and a necessity for any service and repair company aspiring to become a relevant and trusted resource for the home health care provider. We are your partner in this industry and we prove it not only through our words, but also our actions. We ask the other associate members in the MAMES organization to consider make a like commitment.
Accurate Biomed Services Inc. premiers MAMES first oxygen concentrator troubleshooting track.
Also, during the annual convention this year, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. provided something a little different to our members. As we are a service and repair facility, our business, naturally, is providing the expertise necessary in the repair of your respiratory and biomedical equipment. However, many of you have a repair facility “in house” and we felt we needed to assist those companies in training their staff to handle some of the problems that oxygen concentrators exhibit. To achieve this end Accurate produced a basic concentrator trouble shooting course to show some of your technical staff the problems we run across when servicing your equipment. Our O2 systems manager, Wally Strange, had a very enthusiastic bunch come to this track. During the three hour course the attendants were able to not only see some of the problems that can occur, but also had "hands on" experience with different manufacturers of oxygen concentrator equipment. Afterwards the attendees were given a test and a certificate was awarded to those who passed the examination (everyone passed this time). Due to the success of this premier, our company will be developing more of these courses in the future. We are working with the associate member committee to make arrangements to provide this track on a regional basis. Here again, Accurate is working for you to make a better industry for all of us.
Accurate Biomed Services Inc. acquires the assets of Central Medical Repair Inc.
In March of this year Accurate Biomed Services Inc. purchased the assets of Central Medical Repair of Olathe, Kansas. Central Medical Repair has been an excellent repair source for oxygen concentrator compressors and sieve bed repair as well as a low cost source of repair parts. We felt that this purchase fit into our product mix nicely. Additionally, this acquisition will further enhance our ability to serve our customers as we will be offering repair parts to the companies that have an in house repair facility at extremely attractive pricing levels. Coupled with the fact that we already pick up and deliver your equipment in the Midwest region we will be able to deliver your parts orders and further save you the time, hassle and expense of shipping and receiving. We are in the process of consolidating this purchase, and publishing a catalog. Accurate Biomed will be keeping you abreast of developments as they happen.
WARRANTY NEWS
Accurate Biomed Services Inc. enhances its warranty repair contracts.
Effective April 21st, 2003, Accurate Biomed Services Inc. will be a full line factory authorized warranty repair center (FASC) for Respironics. What this means is, although we have been an FASC for the oxygen concentrator line of equipment Respironics manufacturers, we have passed their accreditation procedure and are now authorized to provide warranty service to their sleep product lines. Added to the free pick up and delivery service that we already provide to our customers, this is an exiciting addition to our service menu. We are extremely proud that Respironics has made us a full line FASC and we are able to offer this service in the Midwest as there are less than a dozen repair companies in the
With the addition of this contract we now are a warranty repair center for Respironics, Invacare, Sunrise Medical, and Nidek. We are working with other manufacturers to broaden our warranty repair services and will keep you posted on the progress of this program. If there is a manufacturer that you would like us to solicit for warranty repairs please let me know.

This is our second newsletter to the membership of MAMES. We are sending you this newsletter in an effort to keep the membership up to date on some of the many changes we have experienced and the many additional services that we have developed over the past five months. We are not going to clog up your email boxes with a lot of extraneous mailings, but we get questions, sometimes from our very long time customers, concerning our services and often hear the statement "we didn't know your company did that." and feel that perhaps we have not done all we can to inform our fellow MAMES members that they have a valuable resource in their own back yard.
